Robert sa narodil 13. mája 1986 v Londýne. S herectvom začal ešte vo svojich mladých časoch v Barnes Theater Company v Londýne. Times Online ho nazval ako Britskú hereckú nádej, alebo ako aj Britskú hviezdu zajtrajška. Robert za svoj vzor považuje Jacka Nicholsona, rád športuje, v obľube má hru na gitary a na klavíry.
